By using PrepDeck ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
PrepDeck is an AI-powered study tool that generates exam preparation materials (slides, quizzes, quick references) from user-uploaded course materials. The Service is intended for personal, educational use.
3. User Responsibilities
- You must have the legal right to upload any materials you submit to the Service.
- You are solely responsible for ensuring your uploads do not infringe on any third-party copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
- You agree not to upload materials that are illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- You agree not to upload materials containing child exploitation content, sexually explicit material, weapons instructions, or content that promotes violence or illegal activity.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Users under 18 should have parental consent.
4. Content Moderation
PrepDeck employs automated content screening to detect and reject prohibited materials. We reserve the right to refuse processing any uploaded content at our sole discretion. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.
5. Uploaded Materials
- PrepDeck does NOT store your original uploaded files. Files are processed in memory and discarded after generation.
- Generated study materials (slides, quizzes, references) are stored in our database to provide the Service.
- You retain ownership of your original materials. PrepDeck claims no ownership over content you upload.
6. AI-Generated Content
Study materials generated by PrepDeck are created using artificial intelligence and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. The Service is a study aid, not a substitute for attending class, reading course materials, or consulting with instructors. PrepDeck makes no guarantees about exam outcomes.
7. DMCA and Copyright Claims
If you believe content on PrepDeck infringes your copyright, please contact us at prepdeckapp@gmail.com with:
- Identification of the copyrighted work
- Identification of the infringing material and its location on PrepDeck
- Your contact information
- A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized
We will respond to valid DMCA takedown requests promptly.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. PREPDECK DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
9. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL PREPDECK BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO EXAM PERFORMANCE, ACADEMIC OUTCOMES, OR DATA LOSS.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
